Aunt's Almond Cantucci - Traditional Ciociaria Recipe!
Ingredients:

3 eggs

200 g of sugar

100 g softened butter
-
200 g of almonds
-
1 sachet of baking ammonia (9 g)

Grated zest of 1 lemon
Preparation:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead until you get a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into 4 loaves and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake at 170°C for 30 minutes .

Remove from the oven, let cool, then cut the loaves into slices to form the classic cantucci.

Put them back in the oven at 170°C for another 10 minutes , to brown them and become crispy.
