The Italian Honey Tasting Collection
Four Italian Honeys. One Taste of Italy.
Inside the collection, you will find four 500g jars of Italian honey from Apicoltura Patrizi Marco, selected by Essenza Pisterzi for their different flavours and character.
This is not simply a honey gift box. It is your introduction to the world of Italian honey.
Four Italian Honeys to Discover
01 — Italian Wildflower Honey | Millefiori
Taste profile: varied, aromatic and naturally complex.
Try it with: fresh bread, yoghurt, ricotta, fruit, breakfast dishes and everyday Italian desserts.
02 — Italian Acacia Honey
Light, delicate and wonderfully versatile.
Acacia honey is appreciated for its gentle floral character and elegant sweetness, making it an easy introduction to Italian monofloral honey.
Taste profile: delicate, floral and mild.
Try it with: yoghurt, fresh ricotta, fruit, pancakes, tea and delicate cheeses.
03 — Italian Chestnut Honey
A completely different side of Italian honey.
Chestnut honey has a stronger personality, with a rich aromatic character and a distinctive slightly bitter finish. It is particularly interesting when paired with savoury Italian ingredients.
Taste profile: bold, aromatic and pleasantly intense.
Try it with: Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano Reggiano, aged cheeses, walnuts and rustic bread.
04 — Italian Honeydew Honey | Miele di Melata
The darkest and most distinctive member of the collection.
Unlike floral honeys, honeydew honey comes from honeydew associated with plants and trees rather than directly from flower nectar. It offers a deeper profile and a different way to experience Italian honey.
Taste profile: deep, robust and less delicate in character.
Try it with: mature cheeses, rustic bread, yoghurt, nuts and savoury dishes where you want a more pronounced honey flavour.
From Italian Apiaries to Your Table
The four honeys in this collection are produced by Apicoltura Patrizi Marco, whose apiaries are located in different natural environments across Italy.
Their locations include the Monti Ernici, Molise, Cilento, Aspromonte, Sila and areas of the Agro Pontino near Circeo National Park, at medium and high elevations and among woodland, undergrowth and flowering vegetation.
